We ate from a toilet bowl at the Modern Toilet Restaurant

As I’ve mentioned in my previous post about our day 3 in Taiwan, we went to Ximending and had our dinner at Modern Toilet Restaurant which I believe deserves a separate post. And yes, you’ve read the title of this post correctly (you don’t need an eye check-up!), as we literally ate from a pot fashioned like a toilet bowl. Interiors But before I tour you inside, let me first show you the entrance of the restaurant. You will automatically think this is the Modern Toilet Restaurant you’ve been hearing about even before you see the store name! Now, let’s go upstairs and see what the buzz was all about.…

#TAIWANdering Day3: Yangmingshan + Taipei City Short Trip

Our main goal for Yangminshan trip is to catch sight of cherry blossoms as I’ve heard that plenty of sakura trees can be expected to bloom in the said place. We actually had a flexible itinerary for our day 3. That in case we succeed in seeing cherry blossoms in Taichung on our day 2, we can skip Yangmingshan the next day so we can try other activities like hotspring trip (Tamsui) or cable car ride (Maokong Gondola). Taipei Foodtrip | Ningxia Night Market

Just a block away from our hotel (King Plaza) there’s a night market packed with delicious finds: Ningxia Night Market. It’s not as popular as other night markets like Shilin, Ximending, Shida, etc., but we definitely had a great food-trip experience here! Most foodstuffs were being cooked right in front of you so you wouldn’t help but try as many food as you can as they all smell yummy! It was actually quite hard to decide which one to eat first. The first one we tried was the Roasted Beef. Beef cut into cubes…

#TAIWANdering Day 1: Chiang Kai Shek (With Cherry Blossoms), Hangzhou Xiao Long Bao, & Feng Wang Pineapple Cakes

We all know that in every trip, first day is always the most exciting and energetic day especially when you travel to a certain destination for the first time. And add the fact that it’s our first international travel, our excitement was beyond description! Result? We were super early at the airport! We heard that Philippine immigration is too strict nowadays so we made sure we’re prepared now that I’m an ✔️unemployed ✔️woman ✔️first time traveling abroad. Same with Jeric, only that he’s not a woman. 😅 Thank God we were not put on-hold at the Philippine immigration. As a matter of fact, our interview did not even last a minute!…
