Before heading home from our staycation trip, we did a side-trip at a nearby cafe as an extension of our anniversary celebration. Cafe Galilea is just a 15-min drive from The Greenery Bulacan and a perfect date place for couples and families as well. It is located right at the entrance of Galilee Wonderland Waterpark which is a public resort currently closed to the public due to obvious reasons.

Cafe Galilea has indoor and al fresco dining spaces. We opted to dine at the al fresco area as a safety precaution. Indoor dining with airconditioning is clearly more comfortable, but nothing beats peace of mind. Good thing the weather wasn’t too hot as it was a little gloomy.

The interiors of the cafe is definitely instagrammable with a calming and easy-going vibe. But not a great option in the middle of a pandemic (maybe next time!). We headed to the al fresco area after placing our orders.

Our orders: Smoked BBQ Ribs (₱260), Bird’s Nest Carbonara (₱135), Garlic Parmesan Wings (₱155), Chocolate Decadent Cake (₱120), and Red Iced Tea (₱45). Affordable, right? You can also check their menu with prices from their website.

The Smoked BBQ Ribs was good, a bit salty for my taste but just right for Jec. It comes with rice and buttered corn on the side. What I really liked was the Bird’s Nest Carbonara. It was sooo creamy and delish, with a very creative plating! I almost didn’t want to touch and ruin the egg shell setup as it was too cute, but at the same time I wanted to eat it right away as it looked so appetizing!

It was nice that the Garlic Parmesan Wings were served on a basket lined with parchment paper to keep it from getting soggy. It was crispy and tasty, just like the normal chicken wings though. Our desert was a slice of Chocolate Decadent Cake which we both really liked! It was moist, bittersweet, and so luscious, we surely enjoyed every forkful! And for the Red Iced Tea, it was too sweet for our taste that we were not able to finish it.

They have more outdoor dining spaces and I could imagine it’s best during dinner time. Aside from you won’t get toasted under the sun, the lights installed in every corner would give that romantic ambiance. Also, the blinds inside the cafe will be opened, revealing the insta-worthy interiors from the outside.

And for the service, the staff are kind and courteous. They will make you feel safe by their strict compliance with our minimum health standard. We appreciate little things like wearing their facemasks and actually covering both their mouth and nose (well that’s quite rare). The orders were served in 10 to 15 minutes, hot and fresh.

Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience at Cafe Galilea. Such a perfect way to end our anniversary trip! The food served were quality and in affordable price. We will definitely drop by once we travel to this side in Bulacan again!
