Aside from Krispy Prince, another one we’ve tried in our Wood Park Marikina food quest was Urban Cafe. Dessert cravings came at the right time, and at the right place! Urban Cafe Marikina is a newly opened snack bar that caters to budget-conscious foodies and milktea fanatics.

Urban Cafe Marikina — Food & Price

They offer milkteas, milk shakes, smoothies, hot drinks, frappes, snacks, cakes and ice cream. Since it was time for desserts, we tried their Blueberry Cheesecake, Wintermelon Brown, and Taro Double Sinkers.

Their take on Blueberry Cheesecake was great. It’s actually their best-selling dessert as per the staff. It’s topped with fresh blueberry toppings and whipped cream. The cheesecake itself has that perfect tartness and creaminess which would have you saying, “one more bite”, over and over again!

Wintermelon Brown was refreshing and had strong flavor of tea. The Taro Double Sinkers was kinda new to my palate (as I’ve always been stick-to-one with Wintermelon) but I think I just found a mistress in Taro!

Urban Cafe Menu

I was actually amazed that you can have a milktea for as low as 55 Php. They also have ongoing promo that looked enticing. For instance, you can have a milktea of your choice and a slice of pizza for just 100 Php. Sounds sulit? Well, that’s not all!

Snacking will surely be enjoyable especially with promos like these! May it be a solo food trip or a barkada catch-up, there’s surely a promo fitting for you!

Service

The service was quite fast and the staff were attentive and prompt. The meals and drinks were served fresh, yet, fast. I found the staff helpful especially when customers are having a hard time deciding what to order.

They are open daily from 4pm to 11pm.

Ambiance

Urban Cafe is situated inside a food park along with other cafes and restaurants so expect shared dining spaces. The place could be really crowded especially on weekends.

The area is not airconditioned so I suggest you avoid sitting near the ones eating unlimited samgyupsal (they have no exhaust tubes) as it could get really hot, and I bet you don’t want to leave the place smelling like grilled meat. But I think if there’s no grilling of meats happening inside there will be no problem with the ventilation.
