Who doesn’t love crispy food? For a crispy-person like me, Krispy Prince Marikina was such a heaven sent. Not really your normal fried food because let’s not talk about our fave fried chicken for a while. Let’s give Giant Fried Squid, Liempo, and Chicharong Bulaklak a chance to shine!
Food & Price
I loved that it doesn’t taste greasy even though it was deep-fried. What maintains its crispiness is its vertical orientation; such a witty way to prevent the excess oil from causing the breaded part become mushy. Not to mention it makes the food look more attractive to customers as it looks like a bouquet of fried goodness!
The batter was great and nicely seasoned. It’s flavorful enough that it tastes perfect when paired with rice! By the way, here in Krispy Prince, rice is unlimited!
A bouquet includes Queen Fried Squid, King Liempo, and Chicharong Bulaklak.
MAX OF 3 (329 Php):
1 Queen Fried Squid, 1 King Liempo, Chicharong Bulaklak, and Unli Rice
MAX OF 4 (439 Php):
1 Queen Fried Squid, 1 King Liempo, Chicharong Bulaklak, Garlic Butter Shrimp, and Unli Rice
MAX OF 5 (549 Php):
2 Queen Fried Squid, 1 King Liempo, Chicharong Bulaklak, Garlic Butter Shrimp, and Unli Rice
Just add 30 Php for one pitcher of Iced Tea.
If in case you get too overwhelmed with all the fried stuff, you may opt to order an ala carte of each. One order of Queen Fried Squid costs 129 Php while King Liempo is 109 Php. Chicharong Bulaklak is priced at 99 Php, and Garlic Butter Shrimp is 105 Php. Everything was served with unlimited rice. If you try to compute, price is almost the same, with just a minimal difference.
As you can see in their menu, they also serve special orders such as Cheesy Baked Tahong (85 Php), Cheesy Baked Shrimp (95 Php), and Dynamite (85 Php).
Their Cheesy Baked Tahong was everyone’s favorite. It had buttery taste with a tinge of garlic flavor and of course, lotsa cheese! You will never regret ordering it, 100% guaranteed! Might not look so attractive but the taste is to die for!
I felt relieved when I found out that the shrimps in Cheesy Baked Shrimp were served without shell! Give me a shrimp and I won’t eat it unless it’s peeled. You can tell me there’s beauty in peeling shrimp shells, but I can’t promise to agree!
Their Dynamite wan’t so ordinary as it had ground pork inside aside from cheese and green chili. The mustard dip made it even more appetizing! It’s perfect as an appetizer so I suggest you include this when you order meals.
In case you notice the one below the Dynamite plate, those are fried breaded tofu still up for testing. So you still won’t see it in their menu.
They also sell drinks to quench your thirst and freshen up your palate.
This might not be the fastest service in town but expect that the quality and freshness of food are prioritized. This is because the food will only be cooked upon ordering so it won’t taste unfresh.
The staff are attentive and even the owner, Sir Prince (hence the name Krispy Prince), is very hands on in running the business!
Krispy Prince is situated inside a food park so expect shared dining spaces. The Wood Park Marikina might have a huge capacity and plenty of dining spaces but it could get easily filled up especially during weekends.
There’s no airconditioning but the place is open air. The wooden construction somehow creates that airy atmosphere in the area.
Krispy Prince is easily accessible through both private and public transportation. So that your crispy savory goodness is just within reach!
